Club. Two Man Hare & Hounds at Knighton Easter Sunday. The Husky- Sport riders, along with the rest of the entry enjoyed a superb days racing in dry conditions , at Haven Farm, Lingen in Herefordshire. The Central Wales Auto club, had a full line up for this popular event. With many of the top Championship class riders competing you could have been mistaken for thinking you were at a Fast-Eddy or British Enduro round. Husqvarna riders ..Jon Hinam TE250 (4t) , and Darryl Peach WR250, produced a good solid result. But it was the pairing of Wyn Hughes TE450 (4t ), and Daryl Bolter WR 125 that came home with the overall victory. Having been elected to start. Daryl took the Holeshot, and made good progress opening up a sizeable gap to second place Yamaha runners Dylan and Rowan Jones. Things started to hot up in the final hour of the four hour event. With Dylan and Wyn battling for the lead. Both riders then entered the pits together to hand over for the final ( 40 minute ) stint to their teammates. After punch tags were transferred, it was Rowan who left the pits First. With Daryl soon breathing down his neck. Daryl says " I did not want to leave it to late in making a pass on Rowan in case he came back at me towards the Finish. So when I saw an opportunity three laps from the end I went for it. I then tried to push as hard as I could and built up about a Twenty second advantage which I held to the Chequered flag " Once again many thanks to the Central Wales Auto Club for a great days Sport.. |
