Dirtybits.com ...DRZ400 page 1
Well since selling the 250 & getting the new(ish) 400 not much has happened
&
fast approaching our first meeting of the year with the CEC club at Whaddon.
So heres a few images to start with :-
Pretty much a standard DRZ400E but with CRD full-system & Renthal low-bars
yuk...those will have got to go.. hate low straight bars so a new pair of
Renthal Pro-Enduro ones will be going on before Sunday !

Also need to soften the suspension, its going to be very wet n muddy, so to
help
traction going to back off everything to soft.
Will be putting links n other stuff for those DRZ fans ..so if you come accross
any
good sites please e-mail us !

Quick look at the bike prior to getting it covered at Whaddon now sporting the Acerbis "flag" handguards (which are a pain to fit, more later) & Renthal Pro-Enduro high bars which are superb and easy to fit ! One 1/2 laps later & a visit by the paramedics after the Renthals kicked me in the chest & it was all over for that event. Never mind first time out and wow has that engine got some grunt, can't wait for it to dry a little and really get to grips with it.

Update, if you run one of these bikes get yourself onto the DRZ400 e-groups
(currently 2), go find it at
Yahoo's Groups page , http://groups.yahoo.com
.. and search under DRZ400 , a wealth of information
and always check the files pages for handy tips and techy stuff !
Another great site is www.thumpertalk.com , says it all really !
Page 2, click here to get to page two & the leaking gearbox seal .
Tip : If you want a cheap way to get hold of all those "cut-out"
drawings which show you which part
goes where then goto www.motofiches.com
and look for the DRZ section. I have just
printed out all the fiches and its going to be so much easier now I can see
what goes where.
Valve Clearances , check-out this PDF
file (you will need adobe acrobat reader) .
