Jan 2k2 update..after having
a great few years on the 250 & it
being 100% reliable, I have moved up to its bigger brother
the DZR400E. Just needed that extra grunt and as yet none
of the major tuners were prepared to get of their asses &
help me develop a 280+ kit. I hope it does happen as its
still a cracking little bike & should Suzuki also decide to
build a YZ250F beater then I'll most probably jump back to
the 250 class. To those considering a fun 250, give it a go
you won't be disappointed , all best Greg R.
The Suzuki DR250RS Appreciation
Society !
Or what we lovingly call, a look at a truly underrated bike, one
Suzuki should have made available to us UK riders long ago,
instead of having to wait for those entrepreneurs to import this superb
trail bike ! This bike has all the ingredients of its longtime over err'
competitor the Honda XR250, but with two major plusses. One it has
a lower (& then lower) adjustable seat height and two, something now
considered a must "electric start", but keeping the kickstart for
those
suffering from techno-phobia !
Over the months we will reveal some
of the changes (eg: jetting) made
to our DR, plus point you in the direction of dealers and spare's stockist.
If you run a DR then please drop us a line, we would love to hear what
you've done to the bike & what if any problems you've had getting spares.
New or Old ? Suzuki are now shipping
a redressed version of the older
bike to the states, are we going to see it ? don't hold your breath. However
check-out these two images and see if you can spot the differences !

So no need really to wait, just pop
along to your favorite importer and grab a slightly used one !
Typical price for a nice one £1700's ..... a bloody bargain !
